Default Deal or NO deal?

1995 Honda EX Coupe - 213k miles - 2000$
5 Speed Manual Xmsn. Mechanically sound condition, no fluid leak or engine noises. Clean title on hand, gas saver, cold AC, dual front airbags, tilt wheel, power steering, cruise control, PDL, V-Tech, CD, power windows, moonroof, good tires. Wheel alignment, oil changed, water pump, resonator, timing, and other belts replacement done recently. Just give me a call if you want to come take a look, test drive the car, or have other questions.

Is this a decent deal or not? I do plan on doing tune up and in the future an engine swap.

Ask him if it's inspected, or if he will inspect it for you before you buy it. If it's all true then it's a decent deal, I would try to talk him down a little when you go test drive it.

Are you guys serious? a car with 213k miles for $2000 dollars?? You will prolly have to drive like a granny to have that engine last another 10,000 miles.

You minus well get a civic shell for $500 and swap in a used engine with 40,000 miles. You can get a used d16y8 engine off ebay for $700 with the head rebuilt.

Seriously if it's well maintain it's not that bad of a deal. My friend sold his 95 Civic Ex with over 260,000 miles on it and it was still running like Champ!!!!

Are you kidding? Look around on autotrader or craigslist, that's a pretty low price for a civic with that FEW miles on it. A well maintained civic can easily pass 250k miles. And even if it doesn't, it would just be an excuse to swap in a new motor! BTW, shells are usually beat up and look like *****...

...I wonder what a shell that looked like ***** would look like...*ponders*

Teach the dude that V-Tech is a phone and (assuming all is true) I think its a good deal...

Umm this is NO DEAL. Way too much for 200k mile car.

I guess the extra $1000 is for the V-TECH Phone

If everything he said is true and also it's not previously crashed or significantly rusted (curious the ad doesn't say anything about that), I'd say deal. Do a test drive with a friend behind you watch if it smokes because it burns oil. If it's not burning oil you should get quite a few more miles out of the engine.
