Default 08 civic LX re: intake, exhaust, headers

I am now a proud owner of a 2008 Honda Civic LX! I love it and want to upgrade some basics just to give the car a lil extra *umph*.
I understand the best way to do this is to allow greater and faster airflow thru the exhaust. I just need some tips on what will fit my car. It an intake and exhaust system enough? Or should i get the headers as well? Any brands you guys suggest?

I also heard about the AEM V2, which is supposedly to increase ur HP dramatically on its own...

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I'm in the same boat (car) you're in. Hopefully by subscribing to this thread I'll be able to get some answers myself. As it sets now I think the first thing I'm going to do is throw some 17s and a magnaflow exhaust or a sri. A little bling and a little sound should start me off right.

I thinkin' of throwin 16's on, lighter weight, and more comfy riide. I read sumwhere on the boards that 17 in' takes a lil bit o' HP away? And that the road noise is pretty harsh.

BTW: I don't think i'm going to go with ceramic headers, living in Bufffalo, it WILL crack. Are there any good Stainless steel ones'?

Probably not. I have a similar thread with only 1 person responding. Apparently people are turning green with the thought of us having BRAND NEW CIVICS!

Very true. But I didn't want an opinion on someone else's car. I was really joking when I said that but forgot to put a smiley there.

i have utfse under 08 civic headers, 08 Civic LX, 2008 Civic LX....

and i found NOTHING to do with an NON-si civic 2008. So whats a guy to do?!

Would a CAI and exhaust system increase HP alot? or are the headers a big part of that equation...and if they are..i can't find NO headers made for a 08 Civic LX (I've seen ones for the Si, but none other)

i think the Intake, Header and Exhaust FAQ's would give oyu some valuable info. They're located at the top of the Header, Intake, Exhaust section here on the forum.
