To peg leg, yes they do. Ok, here goes, even tho ive answer this i think around 10 times.

intake exhaust will give you some, but remember what were worken with here. as for intakes. it doesnt matter, all of them are a pipe with a filter. I personally have the fujita f5. Now for catbacks. you cant beat magna flow. go to hottexhaust.com and use the coupon code fordtruck8. got mine for 350shipped.
then get a megan racing downpipe or weapon r and TSA also make downpipes for our car.

as for headers. there are currently two on the market. Top speed auto(TSA) or Weapon R. Mixed reviews on both. I personally have the TSA and it cracked, so they sent me a new on for free(best service every) havent put it on.

Now this is the best race header for our car. Its your stock one gutted. Take a pressure washer and blast out the combs in the stock header then get two defoulers so you wont throw a cel, but that is THE BEST RACE HEADER for our cars, yes the stock one gutted. TSA has very thin metal and personally i think it is ****. the stocker is nice and beefy and will not crack.

Next. get an NST pulley kit, i feel this added more hp(but dyno) than the intake and exhaust did.

thats my .2 cents. feel free to shoot me a pm. I dont no everything about our cars but i know my fair share and assure you i can answer any question you have about our car from suspenison to engine and if i cant i sure can point you in the right direction

and that is what they call our header. May not look like everyone elses but it is non the less a header.

I personally view it more as a test pipe, but it is still a header

here's my 2 cents.

your not going to get any big gains with a full cat back. $500-600 will get you about 3-5 hp. kn typhoon claims 7 hp on the Si. @ $300. it will take big $$$$ to get any real hp

I have purchased headers, full systems on other cars I've owned. never been impressed for the money i spent.

buy the KN stock style filter, and a magnaflow muffler call it quits...be happy!

or you can get the cat back for 350 shipped. Just need to know how to shop. But as for numbers. Yup your right, you wont get much out of any bolt ons on an r18 especially being a sohc.

I have just about all the bolt ons for the r18 and i must say, it is rather noticeabled. I went to the dealership and drove a stocker, just to womp on it and see how it feels after putting some mods on my car, and well, i must say i will never go back to stock on this car.

its all personal pref. and whether or not you have the money or the passion. Sometimes its not about the gains, its about working on your car and spending time with it.

Good response. that is true. I have an addiction to chrome on my bike, and I dont get much hp from that.

I/H/E will yield you to about 8~12 hp increase. But to my knowledge, there isn't too many aftermarket stuff out for the 8th gens yet, i've seen some intakes, and exhausts but thats about it.

I'm spending about $1,000 on my I/H/E setup, only because i'm going with the best, then after i'm slapping a 55 wetshot of Nitrous in, and then do a VTEC head swap. I have the AEM v2, going to get the Megan 4-1 Header, Apexi WS2, and Random Technology high-flow cat. Pricey, yes. But I know i'll be pleased with the results and sound.

Everyone has there passion. I aswell love bikes.

Now there is actually a decent amout of aftermarket out there for the 8thgens. You might be surprised, just gotta know where to look and who to talk to.

For the r18s the BEST two mods are a race header and pully kit. Pulley kit made a nice difference for my r18 where the intake didnt do dick(personal experience).

But in the end it is your money and your car, and you'll never get out of it what you put in, but thats where the passion thing comes in. Somtimes its not all about the money.

got any pics of the bike 08ccsi(sorry to thread jack, you can pm me with them if ud like).

Good luck with your car everyone.
