Bought another Civic need mods help
Hey guys Im new to this forum, well I bought another Civic as a second car got a 99 Civic LX sedan. I currently have an 06 EX Sedan with Fujita CAI Magnaflow catback exhaust along with SI suspension etc.
I am looking to do some Mods to the 99 to improve power, what is the most cost effective way with this motor. I dont think its a Vtec motor, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance...

RE: Bought another Civic need mods help
it's an automatic, which is a little slower, you can convert to manual, but it takes some know how to do so. you can do a mini-me (vtec conversion) with a y8 head (good for about 20 horsepower)

I/H/E on the 99... like ej6 said, try a mini-me swap. Also, try to lose weight on the car... I doubt you'll be able to remove much without sacrificing comfort or safety, but you can try-- the general rule of thumb is that every 100lbs on the chassis is .1s on your 1/4 mile time. Add 100lbs, and your car just got about .1 seconds slower. Remove 100lbs, and your car is now a little faster.
