Civic SI and HX?

o ya also better gas mileage with a manual! as long as you dont always drive hard and do alot of coasting to a stop. i got ruffly 3-6mpg more with my manual of the automatic just from being easy on it, driving in a higher gear when motor not under load and when posible coasting as much as i can on highway exit ramps, red lights. blablabla you get it
but if you dont like shifting and dont care to much about the performance feel then get a automatic and just push the gas pedal and brake... defiantly alot easier in traffic.LOL

It comes with a 5sp.... Do not buy an HX with the CVT automatic transmission. i read that they suck and are hard to work on and fix.
And an HX has VTEC, and i think an HX is better than an EX imo.

I read this and to put in my 2 cents ( not worth much ) lol... I have an HX that is a 5 speed manual trani. I love my car. Its fast enough for me when I want it to be but the best thing about it is that the basic gas mileage is 38 mpg ( hw and town combined) From what I hear though their pretty rare.

rare mileage? not really my dx has gotten 38mpg several times if i dont drive like a fool.
but i havent seen any hxs locally with a 5speed option so if thats what you mean by your manual being rare then id agree since i havent seen any. only those automatic cvts or what ever.
