After been working on my first car for a month or so everyday about 2-5 hours. I have come to find some fact. All old civics that have been sitting you only have to worry about the stupid carb. Its mechanical fuel pump was fine so yeah all you sit there and do is play with the carb. Only like 5 things go wrong with the carb though. The idle screw and stop screw seem to never be the problem though that may not always be true. The throttle plate can come loose causing it to race always, and the gasket inbetween the top and bottem half of the carb not the base gasket will decay and leak gas from the intakes (accelerator and idle) into the intake thats only for air making it race AND run ungodly rich. I got my little CRX running with the choke going as i produce black smoke as i got and have 20-25 horsepower. to shift i gotta push the gas all the way down. Funny funny funny but if anyones like you suck eww fix that ****. You give me that gasket then cause otherwise the only way to get one of thoose bitches it to buy the rebuild kit which is like 60 dollars... but if you happen to have an old civic carb laying around and that gasket is good let me buy it from you for like 10-15 bux.... so i can get a job.
