Default Looking for ideas: 2003 LX 4-dr auto

Oi. My baby is my 2003 LX 4-dr automatic.I just joined the site and I've spent the last 2 hours searching through posts. I think a direct question is best: What can I do for my Civic to boost performance, now that I've put on a cold air intake? (I'm not necessarily interested in an exhaust system, unless it would do a world of difference) Can I take my car into a shop and have them tune my ECU? Or is there something else I can do? Anything? Bueller? Thnx and peace.

got the same car but 04 with aem sri and rear ebay upper strut bar
got a fu neuspeed strut commin with a magnaflow cat back exhaust

if i were u, i would definately get strut bars even if your looking for increase in speed. Its cheap and easy to install and makes it very fun to drive!

or else i would say finish your i/h/e set up

I wouldn't tune the ECU because then you are going to run richer fuel and that will cause allot of problems to your engine unless you do the proper changes. [&:]

Cool. I'm looking into struts now, and I don't think eBay is the way to go for struts since everything is really cheap. And I won't tune the ECU. How about exhaust? Does a cat back replace or use the catalytic converter, or can I/should I just get a high flow cat converter mounted to my stock exhaust system, and will that help? Any other suggestions for my model? Lastly, what are some good name brands for parts (whatever) that I should look into? Thnx so much. Peace.

For cats it depends where u live because here in California they are very strict on those things. i just replaced my cat..Magnaflow High Flow Carb approved and exempt and OB2 compliant. Or my smog wont.[&:][&:][&:]

****Dc sports it's good for headers and strut bars
****AEM for intake, pulleys, camber kit, fuel rail, fuel filter, etc....
*****Skunk 2 makes good INTAKE MANIFOLD , short shifter, shifter *****
****I have always use Magnaflow stainless steel mirror finish (street series exhaust) Race series a little louder. Nice deep sound

Alright, I got paid and went down to a muffler shop and got my stock exhaust taken off and replaced with a magnaflow exhaust. Real good price too. I love the sound and the fact that my car is breathing better now. Next, struts. Yeah pairenoidthat's a killer deal. I'd like to hear how it turns out.

Now you just need headers and a flow-thru cat. I'd also do the suspension, tires, and brakes. 16s with UHP tires will handle MUCH better than the stockers.

I'd also get a Factory Service Manual and some tools. Labor is expensive.
