What should I do...?

What should I do...?
The shop FINALLY got back to me with a damage estimate on my car. Apparently more sh** was broken then I thought. I fu*** up pretty much the entire left front side of my suspension (Ball joint, knuckle, control arm, hub) which is going to come to over $1000 to repair, I already gave them the control arm too. Then I have to get my core support welded in, which will cost over $900. They say that after paint it's gonna come out to around $3000, which is more than I payed for the car! What do I do here? Can I repair all these parts myself in a matter of days for a lot cheaper? Should I just sell the car and start over (would KILL me to do that)? I'm really at a loss here, any help and opinions are apreciated...

RE: What should I do...?
If you have the ability, or have a friend that is able to weld...you should be able to do it all yourself for a lot cheaper. I dont think you'd be able to sell it for much because it will probably be forced into a salvage title. You fix it yourself and you might be able to avoid that. Too bad you dont live in my area...I've had to weld in a couple core supports before (stupid deer).

If the repair cost cost more than what the car is worth then it may be better just to scrap it and get another car. You may make some more money by selling parts on the ebay.

i agree with them too. although happened to me and my 1990 celica last year, very similar thing. i bought all the parts and did it myself so the car could move again. then just paid 800 for the body work bro. not paint though, that was left ghetto on the front right fender. lol i did that myself.

Yea, they want $3000 after paint, but the car needs a new paintjob anyway, I'm thinking I'll either pay the $2000 some to fix the actual damage, then get it through inspection (3 months overdue) which should end up costing me around $2500... or just taking off all the performance parts and selling it for whatever I can get it for in it's current condition ($1500?) and buying either another EK, an EG, or an older integra and starting all over again... OR, taking the car home untill I have time to do the work myself and buy a winter beater in the meantime...
