Default 01 civic unreliable starting

I have an 2001 civic 1.7 and sometimes when i go to start the car i hear the starter for a split second then its silent with the dash lights all one, sometimes a second latter is starts but sometimes i have to cycle the key several times to get it to start. the battery and alternator are both good so i don't know what it could be, possibly the starter is going bad? but im not sure

I would agree to. Make shur you check that fuel pump could be a dead spot in the coils of the pump. If it is the pump is so easy to change so don't sweat it. Good luck.

Make sure the connections at the battery are good. Take them off and clean them and reconnect securely.

Having the starter click but not turn, until after you click it several times, but the lights stay on, is usually the starter itself going bad. It will get worse and worse until eventually it will never turn.

Ok i changed the spark plugs and it started like normal for a few times then i went to start it and it cranked once- then died sounding kinda rough but started right up the next time i turned the key, the battery has clean connections but the positive side wire is corroded a good ways down the line, could this be the problem? I noticed they cost a couple hundred bucks so would i be better off trying to splice in a new line?
