Problem With Positive Terminal
Hey Guys,
I'm experiencing a strange phenomenon right now in my 2001 Honda Civic EX Sedan and I am stumped. So I was cleaning my positive battery terminal because it gets this corrosion build up on it and keeps my car from starting when it gets too bad. So I undid the positive terminal sanded it down and then placed it back. I poured a little bit of coke on it as well to eat the remainder of the corrosion away. Now my car has issues. First I noticed the the power locks were not working, then I noticed the Ebrake light would not turn off, the ac will not get cold either, the windshield wipers only work in a specific speed. I checked the fuses under the hood but have yet to check the ones under the wheel but so far so good WTF!!!! PLEASE HELP!

This sounds like your multiplex control unit (MCU) went bad. Bet the interior light in the middle of the roof no longer comes on when you open a door either.
Make sure that there is enough brake fluid. Low fluid will turn on the brake light on the dash, it isn't just for the hand brake.

2-door vs 4?
So I am about 98% sure that it is the MCU. I went ahead and bought one online for 80 bux versus 210 at the dealership. However the one I bought is for a 2-door, I have a sedan does anyone know if this matters. I didn't think since the cars have the same components just mine has two extra doors. Thanks everyone for your help.
