First car
Hey i bought my first car, 91 civic Hatchback. Im thinking of doing a motor swap from the stock engine to a b16. Im going to put a full catback, bodykit, and maybe even get into turbo or supercharging the car. Also i was jsut wondering, the transmission in the car now is really stiff could that be something to do with the transmission, clutch. Im jsut wondering this because ill have to drive it like this till the winter when i do the motor swap.

RE: First car
thats awesome that you just got a 91 hatch. i have a 91 one as well. if you are going to go full catback let me know cause i want your stock exhaust. is it an si or std model? a b16 would be awesome as well, but read up on stuff before you go out and do it. good luck man and WELCOME ABOARD!

sup man im new here too and i also drive a 91 civic hatch. i had a b16 in mine once it runs real good but i pulled the b16 out for now for a new project. i got a mini me rite now in it and it runs real good too. i got another mini me that im built to the max just to see how far i can take it with a single cam. ive heard alot of goods about it, but now my only trouble is my fuel keeps on cutting off when my gas gets to half tank.

RE: First car
welcome to the forum. the trans is probably stiff because it is a cable operated clutch, and its supposed to be that way, the only problem is it needs to be adjusted, unlike a hydraulic tranny in a newer model.

RE: First car
welcome.........stiff pedel could be due to a decent clutch in the car......but then again if you never driven a cable clutch honda, a stock clutch would feel stiff to you. i myself prefer cable clutches as it give better pedel feedback imo
