Default RE: question on fuel filter....

I dont think mine has ever been changed eather. I looked through the records and I didnt see it there. But its also been sitting for 2 years before I got it at the dealership.

I was thinking about changing it...I dont think there would be any drawbacks..

i would replace it, you will get better mileage and better fuel flow its like if your air filter is dirty it resitricts airflow, same thing with a fuel filter but with gas

i kind of hvae the same thing, specially when i'm low on gas. When i start my car sometimes it hesitates and i have to push the gas to get it to stay runnign, but hten its just fine.

Since lack of fuel does lean the mixture, I don't think gas mileage would be worth, but it's still has to be relaced time to time. I believe the intermittent problem with semi-hot start that I had on my 92' has been solved with fuel filter replacement.
Shop manual recommends this every 60K miles or 4 years for 92-95.
