2003 Honda Civic Coupe EX AC-Heater Fan Problem
Hi,
From last week the AC/Heater fan of my 2003 Honda Civic Coupe EX has stopped working. When I goggled for the problem solution I came across this website, which is very informative and helpful.
From a previous post I found the DTC code for my problem as 12.
I checked the fuses and the power relay and they seem to be fine.
I don't have any idea of the location of the AC/Heater Fan, blower motor and transistor in the car hood.
I would greatly appreciate if some one can post the pictures and the steps for trouble shooting the problem.

These parts are all under the dash. The blower motor is at the extreme right side of the car. You can see it without taking anything apart. It has a 2-wire connector on the bottom. Test for voltage between the two wires with the key on and the control set to high. If you have 12 volts but the fan isn't running, the motor is bad.
If voltage isn't reaching the motor it's probably the transistor. Take the glove box out of the car by unscrewing the hinges at the bottom. The transistor is mounted in the ductwork right behind the glove box.

Mr. Ron, Thank you for the instructions. I checked the voltage between the wires connected to the blower fan with the key on and the voltage is not 12V. I am not able to find the transistor to check whether its good or bad. Please let me know how I can find it.

Mr.Ron, I was able to figure out till step 12, after that I am not able to find the heater control panel. The diagram above shows the control panel but I could not find it. Can you please suggest how to find it.

The control panel is the part attached to the control *****. I think you have to take some dash trim off to reach it.
I would go ahead and skip ahead to the power transistor tests. Most people who have had this problem found it was the transistor.
