Default ELD bypass

Does anyone know what is required to bypass the ELD (Electric Load Detection) circuit in a 1997 Civic EX with the d16y8 engine (all stock).

Why would you want to remove an energy saving device?

I wanted to run one last SPL system in my Civic, but 2000 watts RMS isn't feasible in a vehicle where the ELD drops voltage into the 12s. I was told it could be chipped to bypass it, but, I can't find anyone locally who can do it. Oh well, maybe that is fate's way of telling me that I don't need to do that last SPL build.

ETA: I may have found the answer on my own. I need to get one of these: http://www.boomslang.us/obd2to1.htm and a P28 ECU, preferably JDM since they don't have ELD in Japan! If not, the P28 can be programmed to bypass the ELD. I was hoping the P2p ECU could, but it looks like I am SOL on that one

Thanks for the advice. I sent them an inquiry to see if they would sell me a chipped P28 for a D16y8 with that harness. I only want to bypass the ELD so that should be a simple fix for them. If not, I will bring it to one of the local tuner guys that I am friends with because he said he could reprogram a P28 for me.

ETA: Thanks for the phearable.net link. They were able to get me everything I needed to kiss the ELD circuit goodbye. Another plus is that my local mechanic said he can support any additional modifications I would want to make at a future date with the different ECU.
