what's the difference between the Koni Yellow Sports and the Koni Yellow Race(SPSS Valved Twin Tube) as far as performance is concerned? are the Race ones worth the $850 over the Sports? can anyone please explain the whole SPSS Valved Twin Tube design/theory?

im probably gena call up RedShift Motorsports and Ground Control tomorrow to ask them about the Koni designs, suggestions onspring rates, pricing and w/e else i can think about asking them...

any more info on the Koni/GC setup, spring rates, or w/e would be greatly appreciated.

Koni Sports are valved for up to about 600 pound springs. Koni Race are valved for springs that are even stiffer than that.

ya, im gena do more research on it and try to figure out if it really is worth it or not, if i decide to even go with that high spring rates...gena talk to a guy thats sponsored by RedShift this sunday at a race and see what he says too, i kno hes running Koni/GC and hes freakin daaaamn fast in his 89 civic, like makes me wana cry in shame fast haha.im trying to get as much feedback from as many pplas possible to put them all together and hopefullycome up with a pretty solid platform.

 

I'm guessing you probably don't need 700# springs in your car, but who knows. [8D]

ughhh i wish...i missed the ProSolo down here for the Washington DC Region a couple weeks ago, went toSummit Point Raceway for some track racing insted...next year i'll be getting alot more involved[sm=gears.gif]

 

why wait until next year? [8D] don't tell me you'll be sitting around and not racing on the 21st-22nd.

 

ya...[sm=boohoo.gif]busy weekend for me tho. plus the 6hr drive is kind of a turn off haha. if it were this time next year, i'd be there no doubt since ill hopefully have a trailer by then and would be able to make the further events without a problem[sm=rockinit.gif]

 

man, i really wish I could be doing some suspension upgrades...instead i'm having to replace half shafts, O2 sensors, and other general maintenance...I also wish I wasn't in college so that all my money wasn't having to be saved...
