So if I just take off the bumper, I won't have to cut the sheilding? Because that would set me at ease a little, I was kinda worrying about hydolock and I was thinking of just keeping it SRI (I love the sound already) but if I don't have to cut I'll get it done tomorrow for sure (I work at a Quick Lube place, some of the guys there know they're **** so they can help me get the bumper off and fit the pipe and filter). I'll try and get pictures up tomorrow, just one question remains: anyone know what the plastic sleeve is?

Plastic sleeve? Came with the kit? Can you post the link to the ebay auction so we can see what it looks like?

It's kinda hard to see because it's literally right next to the breather hose (it kinda sticks out farther than the hose).

That's practically identical to the kit I got, exceptmine is silver. You mean the rubbery stuff? long, black? Since it's sorta a universal kit, the general consensus is that the stuff is meant to protect the pipe if installed on an EX/Si because those actually have a hole cut in the body that a CAI would fit in.

Btw, they only sent me 3 clamps (I had an extra one lying around though).

No problem. I'm not sure how different the CX is from the LX, but I would think it's similar enough that you'll be fine. Check the link to my progress thread in my sig for a pic of my CAI from the top. It might help a little.

I found that it helps to have 5 clips. I snagged a 5th from the bottom of the stock airbox.

Here's the pictures, I posted in another thread that the CAI makes a squeeling noise at a certain point in the pedal when I accelerate and I don't know what that noise is. Also, is it bad that I have the whole splash gaurd cut off? (It was the only way to fit the filter)
