Help Installing CAI 96 Civic CX
The CAI I ordered off e-Bay just came today (I know everyones gonna make jokes, hahaha laugh it up) and was wondering if anyone had a link to a site with instructions on how to install it/remove the stock intake. I saw someone with a link in their sig, thanks to anyone who posts.

Yes, I can't find anything with pictures, and the instructions that came with the intake are horibble. I got the stock intake off already, now I need GOOd instructions (perferably with pictures) of how to install the cold air. Thanks in advance.

thanks, thats a big help, but there are parts that came with my intake not shown in that guide, I'll try to get pictures up because I have no idea what one of the rubber pieces is for.

i know what you are referring to, it came with like a metal bracket and a rubber thing? if so, you use that to support to intake tube. it attached to one of the stock intakes bolt holes behind the passenger headlight, and then extends out to support the CAI.
And btw, were not gonna mess with you about getting an eBay CAI, those are one of the few things on eBay that are okay to purchase just a generic one. I do advise you however to buy a name brand filter and put it on there. Those generic filters are usually junk and are pretty restrictive. The piping itself is fine.

Thanks for all the posts, right now I just have the first piece of the pipe and the filter on (it's basically SRI right now) and I put the brackets the same way that's in Reapers picture (thanks btw). Tomorrow I'm gonna take it to work and ask some of the guys if they can help me cut the sheild on the bottom and put the second pipe on.

In theory, you shouldn't have to cut anything... What I did was take the front bumper off, fit the lower pipe on under the headlight, put the filter on, and then try to fit that to the first half of the pipe, which was already attached to the throttle body.
