Default 01 EX head unit removal

I've got an aftermarket head unit installed in my civic. I bought one with an aux input for my ipod but the sound isn't too good. I want to run composite cables from the back of the head unit but I can't figure out how to remove the unit. A link to an install guide or instructions on where to begin would be much appreciated. Thanks.

it all depends on what type of radio you have and what year is your civic ?

pretty sure u just hafta take ur clips out of ur glove compartment so it can come all the way down and then reach behind and push out the center peice iwth the a/c and heat controls and the head unit push it out a little and then use a flathead screwdriver to unlcip the clips i think thers about 3 or 4 on each side then when ur done u just clip it back in

all aftermarket radios come with removal keys , you just take off the radio trim ring and insert the keys on the side and it slips out real easy if the keys are present

I've got an addition to this question...

I have an 01 EX with the stock headunit. I've gone through a couple different Ipod FM transmitters with little success and I'm thinking about putting a direct line in for it. Does the stock headunit (keep in mind it's an EX) have inputs that would work for that?

Thanks,
Baker

SOME STOCK HEAD UNITS HAVE CHANGER PORTS THAT'S FOR A OPTIONAL CHANGER , U.S.A. SPEC MAKES A COUPLE OF INTEGRATION KITS , IT CONVERTS DIGITAL SIGNALS COMING FRO YOUR IPOD IN TO SIGNALS YOUR RADIO KNOWS AND IT WORKS GOOD , (( NOT LIKE THE WIRELESS FM MODULATORS THAT DON'T WORK CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF INTERFERENCE ))

IF YOUR RADIO DOESN'T'T HAVE A CHANGER PORT THEN YOU CAN USE A WIRED FM MODULATOR , IT WORKS BY PLACING YOUR RADIO ON A DESIGNATED RADIO STATION IT WORKS GOOD IF ITS YOUR ONLY OPTION

Yeah I know mine has the "Disc +" and "Disc -" buttons, so maybe I've got those.

Thanks for the tips...Now I just have to decided between a new head unit or that...
