Hooked my IPod up to my new SI today for the first time, through the aux port. The problem is that it comes in very quiet. The IPod is maxed out, my stereo is maxed out... and it is still too quiet.

Anyone else like this? Anyone have a fix?

 

ipod quailty i think sucks over auxuaillry plugs or anything with a ipod to cd player hook up. yea, its convient but it just sounds too digatal.

 

i have a pioneer radio with the aux plug and my ipod sounds great. Volume control is similar to that of having a cd playing or the radio.

Granted the sound quality is not better than a CD but its not that bad at all.

 

My Mom's 06 EX has the Aux plug and it sounds pretty normal volume...maybe a touch quiter then the radio/ cd. Have you tried a different cable or mp3 player?

 

Which cable are you guys using?? Is it the big one or the one that plugs into the headset port. Maybe its the cable that Im using...

 

hey polo, i have a 08si and my ipod sounds great maybe its ur cable, i bought these JVC cables from bestbuy for like $16, if the cable doesnt solve the problem then maybe u got a faulty aux plug.

and its just a regular headset cable not the other thicker one.

if you listen to burnt cd's or any cd with a decent bitrate(128 or higher) you will notice how much the auxilary(sp?) input sucks with the ipod or anything else. I wish it sounded good, but the sound difference is like cd from radio.

and you can always change your ipod settings to allow the maximum volume level.

under settings there will be something about volume limit, turn it all the way up
