hey guys, i just bought a new head unit for my 03 civic DX and i was wondering if my head unit just comes out easily from the front by pulling it out or i have to actually do some work to change the decks? help would greatly be appreciated...

 

you gotta do work, get a screw driver and pop out the frame surrounding it. there will be two or 4 bolts holding it in. undo those puppies and yank that **** out.

I am thinking about putting mine in today. With my intrepid at least i needed a new wiring harness. I think though with my civic at least I won't need to buy a new wiring harness. But yeah you should just have to pop off the console and pull out the old head unit and replace it with the new one. I think you might have to buy a new unit harness though in order to get it to fit in properly where there won't be any gaps between the unit and the dash.
