Need help putting in new head unit

Default Need help putting in new head unit

i have a 98 ex, and when i bought it the person before had put in an aftermarket head unit. i got a new cd player im wanting to put in. does anyone know how to take the center part of the dash off so i can get in there? i thought of just popping the part off but id hate to break something by trying too hard.

OK, remove the belly pan under the steering wheel. There are 3 scres in that

remove the glove box. 2 screws

remove the bottom peice of the cneter console 4 screws

look up under the uncovered dash and remove two screws from the frame

noget a puddy knife and pry out the whole console.

nice and quick explanation, but if you want, I'll do a DIY of changing the HU in 96-98 Civics
