Default 2005 SE amp install question

Just got a 2005 SE, with that nice in dash 6 cd changer mp3 compatible head unit. Im pretty happy with that head unit, dont see a need to change it since I dont want satellite radio or anything. I just might look to put a little more oomph in the stereo with an amp and maybe a sub.

To get to the question at hand. Does the factory head unit have RCA output plugs in the back for getting a signal to an amp? Or will I need to mess with that High output mess?

If ya got any info on it, let me know.

No, you will need a new head unit. This issue has been brought up many times. BTW can anyone take a look at this... https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_66950/tm.htm

No you don't need a new head unit. What you want to do is go to your car audio store and get a rca spliter. what that will do is splice into your rear speaker wire that comes out of the headunit and has rca jacks on the other end, that way you can run your rca cables to the amp. They cost about 20 bucks, probably less, and it will allow you to power an amp. All that it will cost you is a little more time and effort tuning the speaker after install; because the rear deck speakers and the subs will be running off the same channel. I like the headunit that you have and now wish that I got it for my Civic, but I have XM and SIRIUS radio now.
