Default 2006 Sedan With New Headunit, What Next?

Just got my Pioneer 7800 and am putting it in next thursday. I need to know what I should throw into my Sedan next. Should I go for new speakers or should I get an amp and a sub. I'll problaby get a 12 or a 10 but i want that to be a sub that could be later added with another of the same brand so I'm rolling with two 10' or 12'. Also, should I go with componet speakers? When I do my speakers I will also throw in tweeters for my highs. Just need some help and recomendations for what I should buy is also nice. I'm thinking of going all Pioneer but my friends are saying go JL's for the subs. I'm looking for best bang for buck.

Ifyour looking for bang for the buck, and you don't want to be trendy, stay away from JL. I know people are going to jump all over me for saying that, but its true. Since you've already got a new deck, go with a set of Component speakers for the front, and the correct size coaxial in the rear. After that, get a 4 channel amp for your speakers, and then a mono amp and subs last. Believe adding a 4 ch amp for your speakers is going to let you play it louader and is going to filter out all of your bad sound. You then should add the mono amp and subs to finish it off.

1. HU(you already have)
2. speakers
3. 4ch amp
4. mono amo and subs.

So I was thinking of doing exactly what your saying anyways but now that you have chimed in with that it seems like a even better idea. I guess the back is just rearfill so I was just gonna run the stocks till i could afford another pair of componets but if your recomending just throwing a nice pair of speakers back there then I may do that. How do you like pioneer componets. I was thinking as i said of running all pioneer but if there are good priced componets I can find somewhere for cheaper then I'll do that.

Well, i dont know about cheaper, but cheaper brand isnt going to give you a good system. i Always have said since i got in this game seriously 3 years ago, and always will say, for the price, you wont find better sound quality than alpine. I'de say go with alpine front and rear speakers, (that will run you about 200 bucks for both) a four channel amp (alpine of course, BUT if your looking to save a litle money, the sony works decently) then, as yall said the mono block with sub. Now, ill %110 tell you, JL, never heard anything like them, they are #1, but your gonna pay the #1 price for them too, a mid brand JL (W3) 12" sub is gonna run you about 250 bucks, and your gonna need a pretty heavy amp to go on it, but you wot be disappointed. But as for your budget thing, an alpine 12" sub with a box made for it and a nice amp, be about $300 but you can always go with lower brands for priceswise and upgrade later. Popular lower brands right now sem to be Xplod and Kenwood. Also, i know people knock them, but Rockford isnt all that bad, a lil better then sony and kenwood (but i cant stay away from the JL's with crossfire amps, and thats why im always broke and everybody i do a job for ends up broke too, lol) hope this helps
