Boxes are tuned for that frequency kind of like a natural crossover, natural protection for a sub....you cant have a lot of 10s or 12s playin 20 some hz all the time unless you wanna be buyin alot of subs....youll smoke the hell out of one playin it that low, most are not designed to be played in that range
What are you talking about?

A subwoofer can play any note that it is sent as long as it is not bottoming out the subwoofer, which can be from an ultra high tuned box, or too large of a sealed box. I have never heard of a subwoofer that can't play anything 20hz+ all day long without issues. Of course I haven't bought a cheap POS subwoofer in a long time.

And don't get me started on how the size of the cone has no affect on its frequency response

abot $75 a sub mi budget is pathetic
i want something with about 300watt rms each
and mi amp bodget is about $100
Here is my recommendation:
2 of the Ascendant Audio Assassin 12s
Powered by a Phoenix Gold Octane 250x2 rms

^^ $20 over your budget, but that will be louder and sound clearer then either of the POS subs you listed

Wow man ur right, i shouldn't have wasted my money on this POS sub. And i dont remember saying how cone size doesn't have effect on response, because i left out 15's because my 15's i started off with could play 20 hz and around there all day long, not the loudest, but deffinatly louder than a 12 or a 10 that probably couln't even get that low. Plus I wasn't stating above 20, im saying below

But regardless, all set aside, I've never heard the sub so i can say anything about it, but pheonix golds stuff is startin to sound very kick a$$ again for a good price, wish our store started carrying their stuff again. for around 250$ doesn't seem like u can beat that setup....hope you like it

No it will not blow your alternator, it's only 500 watts. I have 1200 on my stock sunfire alty which is I believe 105amps, I don't know what they put in the civic, but it should be fine.

And TeamExodus that is a very beautiful overpriced machinary. You are right you should not have wasted your money on that sub. A subwoofer shouldn't play below 20 because you can't here below 20. This is audio, not earthquake generators.

Cone size does not have an effect on response.

No I am not, My current system is louder and sounds better then a JL 13 W7 and ran me $320

The W7 is an amazing piece of machinary no doubt, but hardly worth its $600+ price tag

I can name 5 subwoofers off the top of my head that are better then the W7 at half the MSRP

how much is shipping on those subs
No more then $10-$15 a piece.
