96-00 rear speaker install DIY work for an 01?
The set up of the back seat seems the same, but does anyone know if there is anything extra i need to do, or not do when installing rear speakers for my 01 coupe? Or should it be the same as the 96-00?
Thanks
Thanks
all rear speaker installs should b the same just remove old install new u can either wire um in using some kind of wire crimper or u can go hi tech and sodder the old plugs on to the new speaker nothin to it really should b simple
pretty sure its the same as the 96-00, i have a 99 and I had to take off the plastics on the sides in the back and then the big plastic piece that covers the speakers. just make sure that you try not to break the plastic clips when taking them off... putting it back on gets tricky. lol but yeah just 4 screws per speaker... you'll have to cut the wires going to the stock ones cause they have a dumb connector going to them. then just crimp on the female adapters. you might have to pinch them a little bit to ensure they're tight. mine kept comming off cause i got in a hurry putting them in.
I don think ill have trouble with removing and reinstalling the speakers. Its not messing up all the plastic parts im worried about. Thanks for the info, Much appreciated
