Press unlock/disarm one time, driver's door unlocks. Press it again, the rest of the doors or in my case the passenger door unlocks.

Naturally there is a reason I do this.... Years ago I had a bum in New Orleans hop in my truck on the passenger side because that alarm unlocked both doors upon disarm. Of course, he ended up looking down the barrel of my Sig 9mm for pulling that crap and proceeded to run like hell.

Damn so there is a good use for driver door once pass door twice!
Yeah I have to figure that out I just don't know what wires are what cause according to the wiring charts, the ones in the radio harness are grounds, and the viper sends a positive signal (I THINK unless I'm really just horrible at this) which would create a short doing nothing which it is currently doing .

no alarm out there has positive output for the door locks! they all use ground!
most hondas use ground signals to trigger door locks and such, and all the american ncars ive done have all had positive door locks so i had to use a relay to convert the negative to a positive.

and im calling BS about the bum and pistol........ sounds to made up to me!

My 01 civic you press unlock once and it unlocks the drivers door then you have to press it again to unlock the passenger door and it's the stock system.

That is on my Civic! The Blue/Yellow wire unlocks the driver's door and the Green Orange wire unlocks all doors, well the passenger door in my case.

My Mustang does the same thing, but I just have the crappy Ford factory alarm with the motion sensors on it. I plan to upgrade that to a two-way viper soon.

Well, I have this for any post Hurricane Gustav looters at the ready:

ETA: here is what the bum got to see up close and personal:

ETA2: The bum hopping in my truck was at the point in time where they were doing a particular money/ride scam. They would hop in your vehicle and demand you take them somewhere OR give them money. Many times when taken to a particular location, the victims were beaten, stabbed, or shot in addition to being robbed. A co-worker had just lost his son to a bum that had asked him for a ride due to his son being shot once, straight through the heart. That was NOT going to happen to me!
