aftermarket deck

Default aftermarket deck

ok so im looking at getting an eclipse cdc5425 deck. i heard that if you had keyless entry that you need to leave the stock deck hooked up and bury it in the dash. is this true? i thought it sounded pretty rediculus.

yeah, i had been hearing that exact same thing, as with the dome light bypass stuff. Idk for sure about the H/U keyless entry, but from all i know its true that u do still have to keep the old h/u wired up. For the dome light bypass it said i had to change some wiring when working with the harness, but we just did everything normally and it was good to go (I have a Panasonic CQ-7401 HU if it makes any difference)

If u do get stuck though, i think there is a DIY about on this site somewhere.

i think it is only on the 96-98 civics. if you have an si, it should be ok.

well i called around to a couple car audio places. one said thats its only 96 to 98 civics but the other two said that its any civic with keyless entry. so im a little confused now and i dont know if i should just take it out or play it safe
