the way i see it is if ur car isnt power u dont really need an fancy alarm since ur bassically all ur goin to need an an Ar/Disarm button and good shock sensor too. but if it has power i would invest in an good alarm one tht has pushbutton start dual shock sensor, tilt sensor and all the other good stuff. i currently has Pristige car alarm on my Dx right now all i use it for is arm and disarm sicne thts all it could do lol i dont have power lock or windows

and the alarm tht i have has the push button start feature but i didnt connect it since my car is alway in gear and it would suck if i press the button and my car goes crashing into something

Viper or Python, (same thing) you can get some nice ones with two way remotes so you know if your alarm is going off even if your inside a building, they have one that has a mile range, i have that one on my teg, its not a true mile but i am almost never out of range of it.

i got the newest model compustar that goes a mile distance for $400 installed with the LCD remote and remote start (when it first came out, a lil while ago)... also let you know if someone is doing n e thing to your car. if your gonna spend money... GO Compustar. everything else is ok, but compustar is worth the extra 50-$100
