Default Alpine h/u

I just got my Alpine cda-9855 installed a few days ago. It has i-personalize and i went to the site and registered and all that. I clicked "download" after i found a wallpaper i wanted and it is on my computer desktop. i click open and it says the file can't be opened because it doesn't know why type of file it is. How do i get the wallpaper up?

A wallpaper for your H/U? It is probably formatted for the H/U and not your desktop.

What type of connectivity do you have for the H/U and desktop?

yea...i-personalize with alpine. you are suppose to be able to download the wallpaper directly from alpine's site ( which i did ) and put it on a cd-r and then put the cd-r into your cd player in your car and on the h/u, go to the menue and select download and it is suppose 2 download the wallpaper to the screen's background. i can do it if i knew how to open the file. it says it cant open it because it doesnt know what program created it.

Just save the file to the CD-R and then load it into your H/U. You don't have to open it to save it.

go to my computer with a cd-r in the your burning drive. Then find the file wherever you dl'ed it to then click on it and drag it onto the blank cd-r and it will burn it on to it. THen just pop it in and voila.

There is a good chance it is an ISO file. You need something like EZ CD creator or Nero to burn that. Once you burn it then just pop it in the H/U and it'll load it.

on my jvc, you just download the wallpaper or the animation that you want, save it somewere and then burn it on a disk, pop it in the jvc deck and download it...im not sure if this would be the problem, but when your saving it to your computer, make sure you dont save it to something else like a quicktime movie or somthing like that...mabey thats it[sm=smiley23.gif]
