i recently bought some alpine type X 6 1/2 speakers for my 97 hx civic and when i went to put them in there was a metal bar in the way? has anybody installed these speakers in there car? and if u did how did u put them in?

 

are you talking about the window track? my car has no metal bar near there except for the window track

 

umm..idk. sorry im new at this whole thing. i just know that when i went to put it in there was a support bar there in the door or something

ok. so your saying you cant get your speaker in, because there is a metal bar?

 

ya. the speakers is to deep. if i cut the bar it could go in but idk if i should cut it.

i sold the alpines and bout some sony x-plodes that fit in without cutting that bar. do you still want me to post a picture of it though?
