Default Alternate head unit installation area

hey fellerz, i had a crazy idea, dunno if anyones already done this, im sure someone has. but that little area down by the cupholders that goes in a bit, have any of yall put a head unit in there and just put somethin up on top where the stock head unit was? perhaps even leave that one there? let me know if that made any god damn sense at all.

kind of like my car, i think i might have a pic im my gallery of it, but ill post it anyway..i did alot of measuring and made it out of quater inch wood, cut out the hole for the deck and my switchs, put fabric over it..screwed it to the metal part of the car, and put the plastic over it, i tried gluing the wood to the plastic but its a pain to install and it came off after a week..so screwing it to the metel was perfect..so easy to install the deck after and its not going anywere, you can do it in a couple hours..just remember to keep test fitting it over and over else its not going to come out good..sorry, a little hard to explane how i did it
, oh ya, and in the top spot is going a t.v..ether molded into the square or a in-dash flip up
