im definately going to have to agree with 727 on this. Wattage = Voltage X Amperage. If your amps are going to be constant then only thing you can increase is voltage. As for capacitor. Well **** of course if the dude is running a 5 or 10 farad cap he prolly wont have a problem, but thats such overkill and a waste of money, you might as well wire up a battery.Batteries can store much more juice for longer periods of time. If you burn up the old one, you should prolly upgrade,

Wattage = Voltage x Amperage to a certain point..its not like you can keep dishing an amp more power and it will keep getting louder

Depends on the amps, my amps you can push them up to 18volts and they will keep putting out more watts

ya thats what i said when they tell u how many watts an amp is like what it says on the front...like my profile 4 channel says 1000 watts thats only 1000 watts at 14.4volts and bridges at 2 ohms...or whatever i duno exactly for that amp...but most people aren't gunna get 1000 watts out of it..
