Default AMP help

Ok so yesterday I skipped school to install my system, I had it in for maybe a half an hour, and i went to get my friend jeremy from school because he knows alot about amps and such. I told him I thought my amp was runnin too high because my stereo was only on volume # 8 and it was rattling my whole car, and even popped the bondo out of my trunk. So we turned it off and lowered all of the levels, then turned it back on and it was great. I pulled the lever to pop the trunk and it all shut off, and started making a popping noise through my subs. I blew a fuse. so i put in another. i blew 2 more(30a fuse) finally put in one more, it didn't blow the fuse but it is still making the popping sound with no music coming out. what the hell happened?
