amp protection turns on

alright. well i got this 720 watt jensen amp, 2 channel. yea, got it cheap as ****. but i got 2 12's and when i hook it up normal it works fine. but if i bridge it, it will hit once then the protection will kick in. any ideas to stop this

Umm, yeah. Don't bridge it. It's not 2ohm Mono stable.

Live with it in stereo or get a real amp.

pulling too much power out of it prolly, dont bridge it.

ive got my 2 channel amp hooked to one sub. Just use the positive of the right and the negative of hte left (with one speaker wire). Thast what i did and its bumps

it's not gonna matter if you do anything. It's not meant to be bridged. With those types of amps, Plye, Jensen, etc.. They are just rated for straight up series wiring. It cuts out to keep it from catching on fire. Consider yourself lucky for them using that protection circuit.
