who ever said loud was good. get a freaking loudspeaker if thats all you care about. if you want great sound at higher volumn its gonna cost higher bucks, buy you system for your enjoyment of your music, not for your neighbors irritation of your vibration. 1 fosgate 10" will reach higher decibles with less distortion than both 12" sonys combined, and not damage your hearing near as much
ORIGINAL: speedstream

the type-x is the new one. it is made of carbon fiber (i think) and it is loud as hell

the higher the decible, the worse for your hearing...so that would damage your hearing more then the sonys lol

I agree with DCA... the most important peice in your system is amplification. For example, you will get better sound out of your car by replacing the stock head unit... instead of replacing the stock speakers. The sony subs arent that bad... but they arent going to be winning any competitions either. Do you guys remember the Ford Focus that sony did? Well, it came to my shop one day for some repairs. It sounded like dog $hit upwards 70% volume. And it rattles... yea, they went sheap on it.
