I love Infinity subs. I got the Kappa perfect 12.1's in a sealed box and man do they rock. Im powering them with a E1800 JL amp which is more then ample. Together the 2 subs and amp alone cost me $1200 CAD plus I built and carpeted the speakerbox my self and installed it all. IMO JL and Infinity are both great companies.

holy ****

I was thinking of spending MAYBE $600 on Speakers, Amps, and Subs.

Is that possable, without buying those cheap pieces of crap from the automotive stores?

Whats the difference between the Amp and Sub, thanks again and sorry for all the questions

Dude, get all four Infinity Reference series speakers, and an Infitiy basslink II and the 4 channel amp adapter thing. You'll have a sub and amp in one small box in your trunk. It'll also power your speakers which won't be that expensive. $500 max I'd say and it'll sound MUCH better than stock.

Whats the difference between the Amp and Sub
whoa, you're kidding?.. Anyways, the amp takes power from the cars electrical system to amplify the signal from the head unit and provide your speakers and subs with a cleaner more powerfull signal.

A Subwoofer is just a big speaker that makes bass.

Here's what I would go with if I were you:
Basslink II

Front Speakers

Rear Speakers

You can get them all up to 75% cheaper than that too(I've done massive amounts of HW)... PM me and I'll fill ya in if you're interested. Looks like the 4 channel amp module isn't out yet, I'd wait for it.

Its funny that you mentioned mexican power. I remember doing a system for this mexican guy and he judged the sound by listining to it outside of the car. I Guess it seems he wanted to make sure everyone else can hear it around him and he didnt really care how it sounded inside. Well anyway It will be hard to piece a system together for 600 dollars but it can be done. If you can get all that stuff that amg said it might be worth a shot. I think I have done some budget systems for almost 600 bucks it sounded good for what it was but not top notch or anything.

this was a while ago but it was something like

budget 5 channel amp 250
4 speakers 150
1 sub 50
1 pre made box 50
1 install kit 50

plus labor roughly 125 when I installed Total 675

the amp will be the most expensive piece.

what about a headunit? do you have one? yea for $600 its going to be VERY hard to piece together a good system. you could get some very good speakers and an amp to power the speakers for that though. just leave out the sub and amp until you wanna spend more $? just a thought....
