Hi guys, keeping it short.

Have a 98 Civic Coupe DX. 70amp altenator

Want to run 1500W(Peak) and a crossover(Passive). Do I need to upgrade altenator?

At LEAST get a car audio battery. Kinetik, Audioforce. NOT an optima...
If you have the coin, get the alternator.

Car Audio battery, so you mean replacing my existing battery with one meant for audio. Doesn't that mean that regardless of the battery my altenator will still only develop 70amps.

Have read that capacitors don't really help the case but will i truely benefit from this in my case?

Naturally I would love to not have to buy an altenator.

Ive had a cap and it helps a little. I can turn it up a little higher and it is a little more bass, headlight dimming is also reduced
