Default Bass Blockers; should i?

Hello all! I have a pretty good sound system in my car. It consists of a Sony 52x4 headunit with DSO and LPF (but no hpf). I have xplod door speakers and 6x9 xplod rear deck speakers, a 250w xplod amp and 10"xplod sub in the back. It's all tuned amazingly but when i raise the volume over 20 or so, the rear deck speakers get garbled with bass i believe.

Should i install bass blockers on them? If so, what frequency range should i get? Also, should i get them for the front door speakers as well? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a crazy idea, but it just might work. Try messing with the fade in your stereo. Turn the back down, I don't know if it'll mess with the sub, but what if you cut the back speakers just a little bit so there wasn't soo much juice going to them, and just let the subs handle the bulk of the bass. Just a thought. Also, make sure you didn't blow a speaker, I don't know how much wattage they can take, but it's just a good thing to check.

*giggles @ xplode*

Yea bass blockers work good for low end H/U without a HPF

Get one that won't allow frequencies below 80hz

I know the xplod stuff seems like it should be crappy but it really has done well for me. It sounds great and ive sat in some cars with really expensive sound systems. It is tuned really well so it does sound better than it is expected to.

btw, ive been searching and i dont think they sell a bass blocker that only allows frequencies above 80hz. My speakers are 4ohm. All of the blockers are like 300 and 150hz cutoff. Does anyone have a link?
