bass knob
ok, my friend has a little **** that came with his amp to turn the bass up/down. i have the bass control on my alpine headunit but i want to be able to turn my amp's bass up all the way (+16) i cant do that right now because even with my bass all the way down through the radio its too loud. so, where can i get one of these? he can control his bass from the radio and then the ****.
I am not sure if you can just add them, some amps come with one factory made, it looks like a little phone plug in jack, and it's a slim wire that runs to some sort of a ****. It's usualy for the bass boost, sometimes I guess they are for Gain.
my friend's system has one of those. its so nice to be ableto just turn it down sometimes and turn it up. but not all amps have that. actually very few have it. i cant figure out why tho. seems like a good idea. but like stu said you cant just add them. and most likely.. if your amp is capable of having one... then it would probably come with the amp from the factory.
i have an alpine mono amp. mrd-m1005 i believe is the number 1000w....yea i knew that amps came with them but i was just wonderin if i could add one or what. prolly not then oh well. i want to turn my amp up all the way where when i wanna show somebody my system, it will be at its full potential. im 17 and like to do that. lol
That looks like a bitchin amp.Doesn't look like you are able to add one of these ***** http://www.crutchfield.com/S-ojl4gaR...500RUX4180#Tabsince it isn't listed for your amp.
But you can get something better.......the amp link cable and a compatible Alpine H/U.

"Alpine's KCE-511M Amplifier Link adds a new level of to your Alpine system. Now you can adjust system gain, and monitor the voltage, temperature, and fan status of up to eight amps right from your dash. All it takes is a compatible Alpine stereo, a compatible Alpine V12 amplifier, and the Amp Link data cable. Just plug it in and the stereo takes care of the rest. "
"The CDA-9855 and CDA-9853 models also feature Alpine's exclusive Amplifier Linkâ„¢ technology, which enables drivers to control up to eight 4-channel or mono amplifiers directly through the head unit. Using the KCE-511M Amplifier Link interface box ($50), amplifier status, such as temperature, voltage and fan indications, can be displayed on the head unit."
Guess those amp links are hard to find so hit up ebay or something. You'll also need to find out which decks besides the ones indicated above work with it. Maybe call or email Alpine directly?
If you want to gamble, get the **** in the 1st link and try it since it looks like its the same din pin as the amp link. If it doesn't work, just send it back.
Keep on rockin!
