Default Bigger Alternator

I have an 07 Civic Si and I am looking for a bigger alternator. I would like to find something around 200 amps. Has anyone run across any aftermarket alternators that are higher amperage?

I spoke with an installer two days ago who just put an Alpine Type X in someone's new Civic. He ended up adding a second battery in the trunk because the 1200 watt amp was way too much for anything the he could find on the market.

In your case what I would do is look for an electric motor shop nearby or online that can rewind your stock alternator for you. Granted this process is not cheap, but it is sometimes cheaper than buying a new alternator.

Well I would have no problem doing that but this is my daily driver and I don't have another car to drive while I have this one worked on. And there are no shops around that rewind alternators. I would have to find somewhere to send it off to and I can't go without my alternator. I have thought about the second battery but still I need a bigger alternator to recharge both batteries. The second battery would help but I will still want a bigger alternator eventually.

Check this place out: http://www.highoutputalternator.com/

Granted, his alternators are not cheap but they are cheaper than the Bosch HO alternators.
