buying new speakers
I used to say the same thing, except now I like the highs that Alpine speakers produce compared to the Infinity Kappa series. I find the Infinity Kappas in my Mustang to be quite harsh whereas the Alpine Type S speakers that I installed in the doors of my Civic sound much smoother. I am going to replace the Civic door speakers with some Type R components and move the Type S coaxes to the rear deck when the weather cools off.
Yeah, i've been stuck between Kappa's and the Alpine speakers.. Both seem great. I'm trying to sell my system and just get some 6x9s and door speakers.
I'm soo sick of my bass.. It sucks for rock music lol. Doesn't help that I have a 1500W sub, with a 1700W amp. I'm getting too old for the bass, it just isn't me anymore :P.

I just run a 500 watt amp to 2 10" JL w3's. Sounds awesome with rock, since thats all i listen to.
You don't have to give up all your bass, just tune it down a notch. Nothing that alerts your friends 3 miles away, just something to turn a head in a close encounter.
I like to feel my music. It's pointless without at least 1 small sub.
