by doing that you would have to bridge the channels to make it work just for one sub but by doing that you would have crazy distortion and it would kill your sub i think pretty good. Two channel or monoblock is always gonna be your best bet depending on what config your sub is.

ok thanks, because i have a 2 channel amp already hooked up to my bridged subs, but the amp sucks. Since the amp sucks, it cuts out at a certain volume, and my speakers arent getting their full potential

I just ran into a guy last week that has some competition stuff. He used to go to the competitions and all that, and has the hook up on some less expensive amps that push massive amounts of power. I am going to try and talk with him tonight or tomorrow in regards to what he has.

He's also got a 15 and 2 competition 12's for sale, I may buy them and use them, or put them up for sale here for someone wanting to save some money. If I talk with him about these amps he uses I will test one out for a while and post you some info. Maybe you can get a killer amp for hardly anything.

ya dont do it........
you can with a dual 4ohm voice coil sub BUT it will still be crapy as hell!!!!!!! thats two different signals and settings...

just buy a 2channel or mono channel amplifier and keep it right!

what equipments are you using, you said you want to wire one sub, but said you have a 2 chann with 2 subs... i would deff buy a solid mono block for your subs and use the 4 chann on your speakers...or bridge the 4 chann to 2 channs, run some comps in the front and run the rears off your deck power... if you can throw us a budget im sure we can help you find a monoblock suitable for your system needs...also what voice coild are your subs??

well i have infinity 6010 components in the front, kenwood 6903ie 6x9 in the rear. I guess I will use the 4 channel amp for my speakers. and as for the subs, I have 2 10s in a box but theyre bridged, with a 2 channel amp powering those. yea stu if you can get me a deal on a mono or 2 channel amp that would be cool
