CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER, I TRIED SEARCHING!!
As soon as i buy my 99 EX, i plan on having my stereo equipment from my last car installed. Does anyone know if the stock cd head unit in a 99 EX Civc has pre-amp outputs? Or will i need to buy an after market HU? I plan on buying an aftermarket one eventually, but will just use the one in the car for a while if i can...

RE: Stock Honda CD Player??
correct, at least on older ones. i had a stock Acura cd player in my car. it was an older one, as it plugged into my stock wiring, and i had to use a hi-lo to run my sub, though that DID work pretty well.

RE: Stock Honda CD Player??
yup, they do NOT have pre amped outlets.......besides....getting a new cd player is much better anyway. You get more power to your speakers, and you can buy them with internal equalizers so you can play with how the music sounds. Get a nice pioneer or somethin and DEFINETLY get xm radio.

Yeah, i've been installing stereo systems for about 4 years, but that was in a real small town. So small that i never once had to do a honda... Mostly hillbilly's with their big stupid trucks, but anyway. Thanks! I'll definitely have to pick up a sweet head unit then.

RE: Stock Honda CD Player??
I have a pioneer premier HU in mine, and I love it! I like it better than a lot of alpines actually being that it is easier to navigate and stuff, though the volume **** could feel a little better. Hey for $140, it really isn't that bad of a deal, especially for a good CD player, full EQ and everything else.
