i got a 04 gti the other day n tried to wire my subs up in it.. but thats a huge pain in the ***.

first off someone broke the din slots where the din tools go in.. so the HU wouldnt come out. so i ended up having to take the entire dash off to get to the HU and when i got there. there was no rca's. so i had to buy an adapter and tap into the rear speaker wires.. got that all squared away finally .

secondly went lookin for a place in the firewall to put my power cable... no go. there are no spots. i'll have to drill through the firewall and i really dont wanna do that. i think im gunna break down and take it somewhere to have it done. its been so frustrating thus far. and i dont wanna mess anything up. = (

times like this when you realize how good civics really are as far as accessability. lol
