Default Car is dark at night.. LEDs? Neons?

Aright its been bothering me for awhile and I'm gonna finally do something about it. I have a 1997 Coupe EX and when its dark out, my car is nearly pitch black. The dash guage lights are dim and the only thing providing any light is my Alpine head-unit.

I don't want a bunch of neon lights all over the place or any techno party kinda look, though. I was thinking maybe something to brighten up the dash guages (maybe make them look sweet, too) or some small, strategically placed LEDs. Any suggestions on how to create some visibilty?

there are actually some DIY's for putting LEDs behind your cluster and AC Control panel place.
I'd post links, but kind of in a hurry, just look through the DIY section.

Other than that, maybe replace your dome light? That might help

i would go with this route over replacing with LED bulbs. this is a lot brighter but not blinding compare to replacing the bulbs with LED bulbs

here's a pic of the DIY from addiction2bass on my 99 civic.
