Default CD player issue

Hi,

I have a 2004 Honda civic EX
My player is having a trouble since last few days. When I insert the CD in player it throws back the CD without playing it. I have tried various CD brands and different modes of CD writing too. Tries using lens cleaning CD but player does not allow it to rotate too.
I think the issue is with CD player itself. Can someone help how do I fix this? any suggestions.
I checked with 2 mechanics, both said they do not repair the CD players and suggested me to get a new one.

This is a original company installed player.

It would be cheaper to replace it than repair it. About the only thing you can easily do is spray some canned compressed air in the drive to see if that helps. But usually if the player is sending the CD right out, it is a deeper issue than a dirty laser.

you can get decent head units with bluetooth, ipod ready and way better sound then the stock unit from $80-$130 dollars. if you order through crutchfeild they include the mounting hardware and wire harness. Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, LED LCD TV, Cameras
