Default center dash

so yesterday someone decided that they wanted my dvd playa more than me. they broke into my car throuh the passenger side window right in front of my house and stole my dvd playa and all my cds etc. i have a question what is the center dash console called when they stole my dvd playa they ripped the whole center dash to parts. the whole mounting bracket and everything is destroyed so i am looking for the price of that being that i need to replace that . The vents, the thermostat controls destroyed.

What year Civic? If 96-2000, it's just called the "center console". If 92-95, it's called something different... like center console bezel.

Use the online parts catalog at Majestic to identify any/all parts, and then some, that you might need.

ya simply search ebay for 99 civic console.
they pop up from time to time... expect to pay about 100-150bucks for it if in decent shape....
just keep searching on ebay thats your best bet to find one!
they are busted up with every theft job.... that console is only held in by 4 bolts holding a small metal brace to the dash and the brace only has another 4screws holding it to the plastic console. very easy to smash up with little effort.

keep all your console parts until you get the replacement console because sometimes people dont include the metal brace for some odd reason... but you can typicaly buy those cheaper.
i got mine zip tied in like a **** on my civic they will bust up my dvd radio long before they rip my double din unit out.LOL

i still have to brace my trucks flip out radio up tho... im going to brace it next time i have it out when i install my sirius tuner.

so for your new radio that you install use the rear mount to bolt a metal brace to and strap that brace somewhere behind the dash to a strong metal support. that will at least keep the bastard from getting your radio!!!!!! just be sure to make it so that metal strap is tight enough where it wont move much.
