Changed Cluster Bulbs, Now It Doesn't Light Up:(
I just changed the bulbs in my cluster to red non-LEDs (used 1 #194 and 4 #74's) and now it won't light up! I put them in the brown holders (theres 5 of them) now I got no light in the cluster when I turn on the headlights! What did I do wrong?
led's only work if you go positive to pos. and negative to neg. unlike light bulbs where it dosent really matter. make sure they are in the right way, there are pictures online that will help you determine the anode and cathode so you can figure out which is pos and neg. im not positive that this is your problem but its a possibility.
oh wow im sorry, NON-led's okay. well first off i've had trouble with those painted bulbs, the paint burns off then they just act like normal bulbs, maybe i had the cheep ones who knows...
what year is the vehicle? did it come from the factory with leds?

yeah, didnt think so, im only familiar with the 92-95 models. do other lights come on when you turn the headlights on like the climate controls? if not check the fuse box. did you try putting your old bulbs back in and seeing if they work?
ya the other lights work fine (climate control comes on, turn signals work, etc) but it wont light up red! the other lights worked fine before i took em out, and I know the bulbs are the right size, what gives?!
Update: Theyre working (couldn't see it in the daylight). They look pink tho until the sun goes down, not liking that too much
And I didn't paint the bulbs myself, I got them from autolumination.com. I also bought the bulbs for the climate control, but now I don't know if I wanna go through all that trouble...pink?!?! Uggh.
