Default Clamp on sub wire

Okay so I have a quick question. I have my MTX 4500 subs and a amp that puts out 60 watts rms x 4.
The subs box have a spring loaded end on them. Is it only a single wire or is it a positive and a negative? My amp kit did not come with anything needed to hook up a speaker.....
Do I need 8 gauge wire and what are the ends called that go into the subs? I am off to town in a few hours.

I have to run wires back to the 2 speakers in the doors too. Do I need or can I use 8 gauge for them without trouble.

Did you already ask a lot of this in your last thread? You should have asked it there instaed of starting a new one. Are you talking about power wire or speaker/sub wire? Here's a general guide for audio wire:

Subs: 10-12 Gauge
Speakers: 14-16 Gauge
(really depends on the power your running but 10 is really the biggest you should go for subs and 14 should be good for speakers)

As far as power wire like for your amps for your setup I would run at least 8 gauge.

And no for the speakers in the door as I said in your other thread like right next to this one, 14 gauge should be big enough for door speakers.

And I don't understand what you mean by what are the ends called that go to the subs? Sub outputs, terminals?? There should be both positive and negative audio output from the amp going in to the sub.
