ok so i left my headlights on today and drained the battery. i jumped it, took it for a drive and all was good. during the jump my alarm started going off and i couldnt shut it off with my compustar 2w8000fmr remote. the remote wasnt even communicating with the car according to the meter on the remote. so i tried the backup remote and it turned off the alarm no problem. i changed the battery in the remote and the 2way remote still wouldnt communicate with the car. i figured the remote needed reprogramming so i followed procedure for reprogging remotes and nuthin. i tried it with the other one (backup - 1way remote) and it worked fine, headlights flashed once to signal it worked. but the 2way remote still wont communicate. heres the strange thing my car would never lock the doors when i started driving but now it does and unlocks when i park which i always assumed it should, assuming this has to do with the loss of power and reseting some settings. do i need a new remote? i dont see them for sale in many places and they are like 100 bucks, wtf? even 150 bucks. any help appreciated...

 

holy ****e, literally after i wrote all that ^^^^^^ i picked up my remote and pressed a button and all was fine. the 2way was communicating and functioning. so ignore all that other stuff...... anyone have a compustar remote with the lcd glow on the remote not working? mine crapped out after like a week or two. other than this stuff teh compustar has been great and nobody in the neighbourhood messes with my car. i may have to get a spare remote just in case though, any ideas?
